Good environment

When this happens, it affects their health by reducing their immunity. Think carefully about the location of the cage and the temperature. Even though Lady Gould’s finch is a baby bird, it needs space to move and fly. A bird cage that is 25 inches tall and 30 inches long would be fine. Scan your area which location has the most sunlight as you will be putting finches here as they need it in abundance. Also, it is not recommended to move the cage as it will strain the bird.
Some company
Lady Gould’s finches prefer to be with their own species, so you better follow them. You don’t have to worry about how often you have to stroke them because they don’t need much. Having at least one cage mate is fine. However, you can always add more to the cage. If you are going to have around four or five birds in the cage, it would be better for them. At least they can walk around and socialize with other finches.
Proper diet
When it comes to feeding finches, you need to manage a proper diet. This is very important to them as they need sufficient protein and calcium, especially during the breeding season. Worms and eggs are high in protein and can easily be kept in their feeding cups. Cuttlefish bone also has calcium and allows birds to have proper digestion. Adding other foods like lettuce, cabbage, and celery is also good for their diet. You can put these vegetables in another cup.
