I’m certainly not saying to put a 7 month old baby in a crib. It would be an accident waiting to happen because all cribs include a weight limit and a milestone limit. For example, a baby who can roll over cannot fit in a crib as its frame is not built to support a mobile baby.
Instead, use your baby crib as a cute storage area for stuffed animals, dolls, and other toys. It seems that as our children grow, they accumulate more and more toys. Storing them in a crib can help prevent their toy collection from taking over the entire home.
A crib can also become a toy for your baby. My daughter likes to put her dolls in her crib. Yes, your child’s crib can become a bed for dolls or teddy bears.
A baby cot can also act as an accent piece of furniture. There are such beautiful, hand-made cribs in stores and on the internet that I believe would complement any living room decor beautifully.
Finally, you can give your baby’s crib again as a gift. But if you or the recipient don’t like the idea, maybe you can turn the crib into a gift basket and place the gifts inside. You might have a bedtime theme and include books, stuffed toys, and blankets. That way, the recipient can use it however he prefers, perhaps reusing it in a toy box, doll’s crib, or even accent piece of furniture to personalize it for his or her little bundle of joy.
